The Eagle is always looking for story ideas, and strives to cover all important local events. To share an idea or ask us to cover something, call the office at 325-648-2244 or email us at goldnews@centex.net. Leave us a short note and remember to include your contact information so we can get back to you.

Place an advertisement

The Eagle offers both classified and display advertisements at competitive rates.

Standard classified ad (for sale, for rent, garage sales, etc.) is $20 a week (we are a weekly publication).

Display ads start at $10 per column inch, with discounts available for weekly advertisers. Full color is available and worth the upgrade charge. E-mail us at goldnews@centex.net or call 325-648-2244.

Submissions for Publication

All submissions can be emailed to goldnews@centex.net, or brought into the office on Fisher Street in Goldthwaite. Please include contact information with any submission in case we have questions. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. the Monday before the paper is published, with The Eagle coming out every Wednesday.

Stories & Photos

The Eagle welcomes all stories and photos of local news for publication consideration. Stories and photos can be submitted to goldnews@centex.net or brought to our office.

Letters to the Editor

All Letters to the Editor must be signed in the presence of the editor to be included in The Eagle. Mailed, or emailed letters may not be published. Letters may be edited for content or grammar and are printed at the discretion of the editor. Letters to the Editor should be no longer than 250 words.

Obituaries

Obituaries are $50 for standard-length, and can be e-mailed to goldnews@centex.net. Please include your contact information. You can call 325-648-2244 to make payment over the phone.
