What a great ceremony held by Mullin ISD for the 175th Terquascentennial of Texas ceasing to be a Republic! Amazing History Lesson for our youth that many large Schools should take notice! Great reporting also! Thanks.

I remember the close knit community and the family atmosphere in school. To me, Mills County will always be the best place I can think of to grow up.

I grew up in Goldthwaite as a kid,

As I participated with the Wounded Warrior Deer Hunt I was moved to know such good group of men that came to Goldthwaite for the event. This event made me so proud of being a part of the Mills County community. This event left a lasting memory on each of the soldiers that came. As many events done by this county shows the quality of folks here. May God Bless All.

Dear Neighbors: By now you likely know that the PUC Administrative Judges have selected the Mills County route for the CREZ lines. This decision, however, is not final until adopted by the commission next month. There is still time to voice your concerns with the PUC. Please let them know how much we value our community and how much these lines will negatively effect our collective potential. If the Eagle could share with the whole community the process for sharing their concerns with the PUC - that would be great.

I just wanted to commend you and your staff for doing such a great job covering the Eagles this past season. It was certainly great to see all the pictures and the great coverage. Our team certainly appreciates it. Once again you did an awesome job. THANKS AND GO EAGLES !!!!!!!!!

Submitted By: Eagle Fan Submitted: 12/18/2009
To Dave Jones' Comment, to start off it was a pass play not a running play. So that shows you weren't payin attention from the beginning. They showed it on the replay twice. GO EAGLES!!!

Submitted By: chan priest Submitted: 12/16/2009
Hey Dave, I saw the instant replay as did everyone else in the stadium. The ref was right on the call all the way. Merry Christmas

Submitted By: Matthew Meyer Submitted: 12/14/2009
The football Proffitt having channeled the spirit of Tom Landry and reading from the sacred playbook of Vince Lombardi, has once again lead us to a state championship promised land. The road was hard but everyone on the team never lost sight of their goals, knowing “I can do everything by the power of Christ. He gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

Submitted By: Dave Jones Submitted: 12/14/2009
I didn't know it was possible to score a touchdown while stepping out of bounds TWO times on a running play. It's sad when a bad call by the refs determines a state championship.

Submitted By: Sgt padilla Submitted: 12/12/2009
Congrats to the entire Eagle Football Team on their win as the STATE CHAMPS. We have used the Eagle web page to keep up with all the WINS and weekly updates. I surff alot of sites just to get the latest and graetest news on the Eagles. From two-a-days to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP it's been one hell-of-a ride. From the entire China Lake Police Depatrment you did it and you more than deserve it Congratulations and thank you for a great Season.

Steve, The video updates on the website are GREAT! You are shaping The Eagle to be Mills County’s first 24-hour news network. Such a tremendous turn out to honor our Mills County veterans. The Lions Club deserves a big pat on the back for such a wonderful Veterans Day tribute. To the Lions Club members; thank you for your service to our community. Keep up the great work, Jason Cockrum

wow this page is awesome.

Submitted By: Omar Harvey Submitted: 11/12/2008
Steve, you're doing a great job with the "EAGLE." We check our email daily and read the paper from cover to cover every week - well, except for some of the ads to which we are too far away to buy! Omar Harvey

Submitted By: CHRIS BOYKIN Submitted: 10/30/2008
i really like your work its nice to read when i'm so far away especially when it comes to football season i came home not too long ago to my uncle's funeral and was able to go to homecoming was that great or what and that coach profitt when 200 games wow i called him on it and ask if he could remeber that far back being i was a junior when he showed fresh out of college and to a losing program where betting ranger was the only game we could win, the first playoff the eagles had been to in several years not meation we had only 13 players and no jv program.....so keep up the good work and go eagles...back in black class of 82

Submitted By: Katherine Bessent Submitted: 10/27/2008
Steve: I think you should have given people a little more time to check out the on line paper before you blocked it so people can't read it and see if they liked it. Just a thought!

Submitted By: Glenn Smith Submitted: 10/14/2008
Hi Steve. The full page color ad you placed for Glenn's Taxidermy looks great. Thanks for the nice layout!

Congratulations Steven and all of The Eagle family on the "new arrival!" Please consider my subscription switched over to the e-paper and register me as an Early Bird. It will save my mom the trouble and expense of mailing me the print version every week like she has done for the past 20+ years since I've been in Hawaii. Love all of the columnists - Tammarrah, Mike, and Georgie. Keep up the good work! ~Marilyn Roberts Nonaka

Submitted By: Omar Harvey Submitted: 10/10/2008

Steve, As maybe one of the more southern readers (Costa Rica)of the Early Bird, I really appreciate what your doing. Given the mail system in Costa Rica, I probably wouldn't get the regular 2008 issues until 2009. Keep it up! Lance A. Barnett, Eagle Class of '89
